Wicks expands supply of aircraft grade Sitka spruce

Wicks Aircraft Supply has received a fresh shipment of aircraft grade Sitka spruce, suitable for spars, cap strips and T-stringers.

wicks1It is now able to offer spars up to 1.5 inches thick by 9 inches wide with lengths up to 25 feet. Most common spar orders can be shipped in a week or less.

For those who need spars with tapers, bevels, routing, or all three adjustments, Wicks Aircraft Supply can customize any piece of aircraft grade Sitka spruce to a homebuilder’s specs. There is a setup charge for the service.

Wicks also has the capability of cutting any size capstrips and T-stringers, for wing ends. It carries plywood down to 1/16 inch and 1mm thickness for use as gusset materials in forming wing ribs.
