Teledyne Continental Motors said on June 11 that it has lowered its prices on an improved line of TopCare cylinders. TCM’s objective “continues to be to improve the value of its product to the customer, which is reflected in improvements to the cylinder manufacture, durability, maintenance costs, and purchase price,” the announcement said.
“Today we again tout Continental Motors’ commitment to continuous product development and improvement without adding additional cost to the airplane owner,” said Rhett Ross, TCM President. “Our efforts to improve quality and reduce manufacturing costs continue to allow us to pass value and savings to our customers,” Ross concluded.
Changes include improved cylinder head castings, advanced cylinder wall honing, enhanced valve insert materials, computerized valve seat finishing, and improved corrosion protection, Ross explained. “TopCare Cylinders will continue to come with an industry leading 3 Year, 1000 Hour Warranty,” he said.
