Technologically Advanced Aircraft (TAA) pilots recently converged on the Pella Municipal Airport in Iowa for a weekend safety event hosted by Classic Aviation.
Saturday, June 13, 20 pilots attended a Critical Decision Making Seminar led by Classic Aviation’s Shane Vande Voort. The seminar is a popular outreach of the Cirrus Owners’ and Pilots Association, that challenges pilots to evaluate and improve their decision making process to improve general aviation safety.
On Sunday, June 14, 18 pilots attended Matt McDaniel’s GPS WAAS and IFR refresher seminar. McDaniel’s course updates pilots on flying new instrument approach procedures and reviews procedures for instrument flying.
Both Vande Voort and McDaniel hold Master Certified Flight Instructor Designations.
