Eye it before you fly it

By Janice Wood · June 23, 2009 ·

When flying to an unfamiliar airport, pilots often wonder, “What will it look like when I get there?” With Fly the Pattern, pilots can answer those questions, and many more, before they even leave the ground.

Designed to give pilots the ability to “Eye It Before They Fly It,” Fly the Pattern is recruiting airport sponsors and will soon open for membership.

Airport sponsors provide videos and pictures of flying to their airports and receive discounted advertising prominently displayed on the airport web page, as well as earning commissions for referring new members.

Once subscribed, Fly The Pattern members can log on to the website and watch the videos of landing patterns and pictures of common reporting points as seen from the air. Fly the Pattern-sponsored airport pages will also list current weather conditions, facilities, communication frequencies and sponsor information.
