Celebrating the Space Shuttle

By Janice Wood · June 26, 2009 ·

Aviation fine art photographer John Slemp has created a series of coasters to honor the Space Shuttle.

coastersThe idea was presented to him by a friend, Dr. Debi Huffman, who had a former student, Eric Boe, who flew on the Space Shuttle’s mission STS 126. Using images from the NASA library, Slemp created a set of four ceramic coasters that depicts various aspects of the flight, including the launch, a space walk, and the touchdown at Edwards Air Force Base, in California.

The coasters are available for $28 a set.
