Caring for Troops

By Janice Wood · July 1, 2009 ·

Leading Edge Aviation (LEA), a Bend, Ore.-based helicopter company, has partnered with radio station KBND to support Caring For Troops. Leading Edge Aviation will take the public up in a helicopter to fly along with Chris Jordan as he reports on traffic weekday mornings for KBND. The “Traffic for Troops” flight costs $99, and Leading Edge Aviation is donating half of the proceeds to Caring For Troops.

Caring For Troops is a non-profit organization that sends a package every month to military men and women serving overseas who have a connection to Central Oregon. The packages contain donated products, such as toiletries, food, CDs, DVDs and other items.
