FATA conference deemed a success

By Janice Wood · July 3, 2009 ·

The 63rd Florida Aviation Trades Association’s annual conference held late last month in Clearwater Beach was well-attended and the mood of attendees upbeat.

fataMore than 120 registrants gathered at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort to learn and socialize with their peers as “strategies to keep your company, employees and outlook positive” were discussed, according to association officials.

“We feel the reason the conference was so well-attended was industry leaders knew the importance of interacting with others in the aviation community to share ideas and information,” said Paula Raeburn, executive director. “Even during difficult economic times, our members came together to show their support for their industry.”

The conference had a variety of programs, including a legal panel, a seminar about the fuel industry, a session on financial management in today’s market, and a legislative update. The conference so included social events, including a golf tournament, receptions, a luncheon and two dinners.

The 64th Annual Conference & Trade Show will be held June 14-16, 2010, at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in St. Augustine.
