South Carolina county seeks ways to make its airport fly

The Horry County Department of Airports is looking for suggestions on how to attract traffic and revenue to the Conway-Horry Airport.

The department decided in June that it would continue to run the airport’s FBO and fueling operations until the economy picked up and better proposals for taking over the operations would come in, but the county is operating at a loss without the traffic from the airport’s previous tenants, according to a report by Claudia lauer in the Sun News.
