Actor Bruce Willis to build his own airport in Idaho?

Actor Bruce Willis, who was recently spurned in his attempt to donate land for an airport near Fairfield to replace Hailey’s Friedman Memorial Airport in Idaho, may build his own airport near his ski resort.

According to a report in the Idaho Mountain Express, Willis met July with FAA officials to discuss obtaining approval for a new field.

An excerpt from story:

An FAA spokesman said that Willis, who owns a Gulfstream II twin-engine jet, was briefed on the process required for building an airport. That includes completing extensive paperwork. The FAA has the final word on whether a field could be built.
