Beyerdynamic introduces two helicopter headsets

By Janice Wood · July 28, 2009 ·

Beyerdynamic is introducing the HS 600 DANR Rotor with Digital Adaptive Noise Reduction and HS 200 Rotor with passive noise attenuation at this week’s AirVenture in Oshkosh.

beyerdynamicThe HS 600 DANR Rotor provides a coiled cable and a Nexus U-174/U jack plug. The DANR electronics is powered by two batteries. By using an additional cable with 3-pin XLR connector it can also be powered by the onboard power supply; the headset is supplied with male and female connectors. The headset comes with a carry bag and two cables to connect an MP3 player or mobile phones.

The HS 600 DANR Rotor can be individually created at the beyerdynamic MANUFAKTUR website. Pilots can build their personal headset and choose from a range of different materials and colors for the basic components such as headband pads, ear pads or metal bezels. A personal laser engraving on the stainless steel clips on both sides makes the headset very unique.

For pilots who prefer a passive headset, Beyerdynamic offers the HS 200 Rotor, which provides a coiled cable and a Nexus U-174/U jack plug.
