OSHKOSH — The Icon A5 made its first flying demonstration on opening day at the big show, on the heels of a “rigorous” flight testing program, according to Kirk Hawkins, president of Icon Aircraft.
The amphibious LSA’s order book stands at 400, with about one-third of the orders from non-pilots, according to Hawkins.
“What that means is that there is a large audience of people out there who want to fly and they just need the right products,” he said.
