Jeppesen launches online Sport Pilot course

By Janice Wood · August 5, 2009 ·

Jeppesen has released a new Sport Pilot Online course.

“As with our traditional textbook training materials, the course objective for the online version is to provide the knowledge, skill and aeronautical experience necessary to meet the requirements for a sport pilot certificate,” said Thomas Wede, senior vice president and general manager, Aviation.

As with the company’s other training courses, the Sport Pilot Online course is delivered via the

Jeppesen Learning Center ¬ a system that tracks students and instructors as they progress through the lessons and exams. Instructors have access to review overall school results, as well as all student work, including lesson completions, exam results and specific questions.

The online course prepares students to take the written knowledge exam, Jeppesen officials note.

The new Jeppesen Sport Pilot Online course is the second of several new and enhanced online courses. The next course scheduled to be released is the Jeppesen Instrument Pilot Online course.

I read in the Recent ‘Flying’ that you are offering an ‘on-line’ Pilot Test Prep Course, which, by entering we may win a drawing for same. I see nothing on line that leads me to the point of applying. Please lead me to it.

    Thank you,
