George Luck, a six-time Master CFI, was recently granted Master Instructor Emeritus status.
A retired Air Force officer, Luck is an instructor with the Beechcraft Pilot Proficiency Program (www.BPPP.org) and is a FAASTeam representative in the FAA’s Seattle FSDO area. A resident of Everett, Wash., he was granted his initial Master CFI accreditation in 1999. He has held that professional designation continuously since then.
Of the more than 93,000 CFIs in the United States, fewer than 700 have achieved Master status. Luck is one of only 37 Washington State aviation educators to earn the Master title and one of only six worldwide to be granted emeritus status, according to officials with Master Instructors LLC.

Sadly – the aviation community lost George Luck in an accident ruled mechanical failure and as a passenger giving instruction. Lost but not forgotten.
