The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta takes off Oct. 3-11.
The world’s largest hot air balloon festival, which attracts visitors and balloonists from around the globe, features more than 700 balloons in the sky at a time.
Kicking of the festival is the America’s Challenge race for gas balloons, which launches (weather permitting) Oct. 3 from Balloon Fiesta Park, with 10 teams from the U.S. and Canada competing to see who can travel the furthest.
