A new crosswind runway has opened at Delaware’s Sussex County Airport (GED).
Runway 10-28 opened Aug. 25 at the airport, which is near Georgetown. The new $5.5 million runway replaces a smaller airstrip, Runway 13-31, that has been closed and is part of the airport’s taxiway system.
