A task force has recommended that pilots start flying tighter patterns around Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Ariz.
The recommendations are among 20 crafted by the Falcon Field Task Force, a seven-member citizens group appointed by City Manager Chris Brady to seek a community-wide approach to resolving complaints about aircraft noise at the nation’s fourth busiest GA airport, according to a story in the Arizona Republic.
The story quotes Mesa Mayor Scott Smith, who is a pilot and the owner of two airplanes, as saying:
“If we can get pilots flying consistent patterns and follow what every pilot is trained to follow, it solves a lot of our problems.”
