BoomBeams OK’d for Citations

By Janice Wood · September 10, 2009 ·

LoPresti Aviation has received FAA STC approval for its BoomBeam HID lights on the Citation 560.

“Every Citation pilot knows that Citation flights are measured in ‘Bulbs per Hour’, with one of six lights burning out with high-cost frequency,” said Curt LoPresti, CEO. “Safety is aviation’s number one agenda. We know that the addition of BoomBeam HID lights to all aircraft greatly improves their conspicuity and safety. Lights on 24/7 is now possible with our filament free, low power draw system.”

He said that replacement bulbs are a thing of the past, as LoPresti has taken this out of the equation by offering the BoomBeams with a 5,000 hour/5-year warranty.

Light kits are available for both wing and main landing gear locations on many Cessna Citation aircraft, he added.
