NBAA gears up for convention

By Janice Wood · September 11, 2009 ·

NBAA’s 62nd Annual Meeting & Convention (NBAA2009) kicks off next month in Orlando, Florida.

The convention, known as one of the largest in aviation, will host nearly 1,000 exhibitors in Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center Oct. 20-22, NBAA officials noted. More than  aircraft will be on static display at Orlando Executive Airport (ORL).

A variety of education Sessions are also slated, ranging from how to help prospective buyers understand the considerations involved in purchasing a new airplane to helping owners determine the value of their business aircraft.

NBAA has taken a number of steps to make the show as accessible as possible for all participants, including freezing registration and exhibit fees to 2008 rates, officials noted.

“Even in tough times – maybe especially in tough times – NBAA’s convention will remain a critical event for promoting a positive image of business aviation, conveying valuable operational information and providing an outstanding forum for the hundreds of companies that depend on the show to market their products and communicate with their customers,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. ”
