Weird airport names

By Janice Wood · September 14, 2009 ·

A cheap flight website, Skyscanner.com, recently scoured its database of more than 10,000 airports around the world and handpicked what its staff thought were the funniest, rudest and weirdest airport names.

On the list are Batman Airport (BAL), Turkey; Useless Loop Airport (USL), Australia; Mafia Airport (MFA), Tanzania; Moron Airport (OZP), Spain; Desolation Sound Airport (YDS), Canada; Deadhorse Airport (SCC), USA; and Atlanta Beaver Ruin Airport (JAO), USA.

Have you discovered any interesting airport names on your travels? Let us know in the comments below, or send them to [email protected].
