Sharp Details President and CEO Jim Garland has authored “The Practical Guide to Exceptional Living,” a book designed to share some of the ideas and concepts that Garland used to start and grow Sharp Details, an aircraft detailing firm, from scratch to a business with annual sales of nearly $4 million and more than 50 employees. Morgan James Publishing will release the book in early 2010.

Garland is donating $2 from every pre-sale of his book to the Mark Victor Hansen Foundation. Garland has launched a campaign to raise $10,000 for the foundation’s Text for Success program, which assists people in obtaining their GED through the use of modern-day technology.
