Celebrate Christmas with a P-51 Mustang

By Janice Wood · September 16, 2009 ·

If you can’t find a P-51 under your tree – or one with a big red bow tied around it in your hangar – the next best thing is Sporty’s 2009 Christmas Ornament featuring this historic warbird.

“What pilot doesn’t love the Mustang?” asked Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “It’s an iconic American airplane that is a rich part of our own aviation history.”

09ornament1 The P-51 is etched on the ornament, along with the year. Sporty’s Crystal Christmas Ornament comes in a gift box and includes a ribbon for hanging the ornament on your tree.

Pilots can also immortalize their favorite airplane on a custom Sporty’s Crystal Christmas ornament. A silhouette of a high wing, low wing, twin or taildragger is etched on an ornament along with up to 20 characters of text such as a name and N-number.

09ornament2Sporty’s 2009 Crystal Christmas Ornament is available for $24.95 and the Custom Christmas Ornament is available for $34.95. All merchandise ordered by Wednesday, Dec. 23, can be delivered in time for Christmas.
