New Flight School Association takes off

By Janice Wood · September 23, 2009 ·

The Flight School Association of North America (FSANA), dedicated solely to the flight training industry, was recently formed.

FSANA is a membership-based association that represents flight schools, firms that provide products or services to the flight training industry, and supporting partners. FSANA will provide programs and services meant to enhance the ability of flight schools and companies to serve their customers and communities.

Vern Moyer, chairman of the board of FSANA and president of Moyer Aviation, said, “FSANA will become a key partner in assisting flight schools to enhance their business models and simultaneously grow the pilot population. We look forward to working in alliance with the entire aviation community.”

Robert Rockmaker, A.A.E., president & CEO of FSANA, said, “The association is looking forward to partnering with flight schools across North America. There is much work to be done and we are committed to providing the flight training market with a voice that clearly represents the core foundation of this segment of the aviation industry.”

Applications for FSANA membership are now being accepted. Becoming a founding member by Dec. 31 earns a 25%  discount off the regular membership rate and will ensure that dues remain level through 2010.

Yes to Robert Rockmaker and founding members, we are glad to see your flight school training support and effort. We have several flight schools that are dealers/customers for LSAs as it is a great tool to start out students.

We now have a LSA that has a trailing link gear that is great for schools for so many reasons including reduction on wear and tear of the plane on landing, repairs, tires etc. plus it is a great tool that can become the student’s plane or jolt them to the next step.

If we can help in your association or you need a great LSA to recommend we would like to hear more from you.
