The FAA has accepted an application to lease Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), Louisiana’s largest commercial airport, to a private operator, according to an Associated Press report at Forbes.com.
The airport’s governing submitted the application last month. The FAA’s action clears the way for the New Orleans Aviation Board to set up a bidding process to select a private airport manager. The process of choosing an operator would take about a year, according to the report.
