ChartDealer.com debuts

By Janice Wood · September 29, 2009 ·

ChartDealer.com has launched its new website to help thousands of businesses affected by NACO’s new Chart Agent Policy.

Beginning Oct. 5, NACO will no longer serve chart agents that ordered less than $5,000 a year in aeronautical charts. This change in policy will affect the majority (93%) of aeronautical chart sellers, pilot shops, flight schools, and FBOs, according to ChartDealer.com officials.

ChartDealer.com, a registered chart agent that will not be affected by this policy change, has created a website that allows affected businesses to order NACO charts through their agency. Businesses can register to become a ChartDealer.com Sales Outlet and still enjoy a 40% discount on the purchase of aeronautical charts.

“Our goal was to create a site that allowed the affected businesses keep their current profit margins for chart resale…and we were able to do it,” said Andrew Hartman, ChartDealer.com co-founder.

ChartDealer.com features:

  • Businesses will NOT pay more for charts when they buy from ChartDealer.com. Resale profit margin will remain the same as if they ordered from NACO themselves.
  • Easy web site ordering from a custom made system to quickly order large quantities of charts without browsing through numerous pages to find the desired charts.
  • Account management that allows previous orders to be re-submitted to help save time.
  • ChartDealer.com will only serve businesses affected NACO’s policy change and NOT private buyers.
