When Cessna Aircraft took over Columbia Aircraft and its line of high-performance aircraft two years ago, officials knew they had to make some changes. After all, Columbia Aircraft Manufacturing had gone bankrupt using the methods it had in place, notes a story by Molly McMillin in “The Wichita Eagle.”
Cessna workers in Independence, Kan., recently set up temporary space to assemble the planes, renamed the Corvalis 350 and Corvalis 400. Production is slated to begin Oct. 6, according to the story.
