Aircraft damage: Minor.
What reportedly happened: The student pilot was on his first solo flight. As he rolled out on the runway after landing, the tower controller requested him to exit on taxiway Alpha 2. The airplane was going too fast and the pilot lost control in the turn. The airplane went off the runway into the grass. The left wing hit the runway hold short sign.
Probable cause: The pilot’s lack of experience and the excessive taxi speed.
