Wicks offers stocking stuffers

Wicks Aircraft Supply is offering some suggestions for stocking stuffers, including hand-held radios, headsets, and more.

Hand-held radios make an excellent gift for pilots and aviation enthusiasts, according to officials with the company, which has a special on its A23 family of Icom VHF transceivers that feature voice ICA23S (2) 2recording and playback, 200 memory channels, one-touch emergency channel access, a NOAA weather channel, auto noise limiter and a built in sidetone function for a headset adaptor. The IC-A23S sells for $225.

Wicks also is offering the Sennheiser HMEC 250 noise-cancelling headset for $475, as well as the Fastfind Satellite Personal Locator Beacon that can be used in aircraft, camping, hiking, boating or any other outdoor activity to transmit location, and if the need arises, alarm signals through search and rescue facilities that are active 24/7. The units, which are waterproof, utilize the 406 Mhz emergency beacon and sell for $279. There is a renewable subscription fee for activation.
