Heads Up Technologies develops satellite radio receivers

By Janice Wood · October 13, 2009 ·

Heads Up Technologies, Inc. has developed a new series of Sirius XM Satellite Radio receivers, enabling attachment to a digital Ethernet bus. The new receivers will integrate with Honeywell’s Ovation Select system, which will provide more than 170 audio channels of news, sports, weather and music within the contiguous United States to the aircraft cabin entertainment system.

Options are available for two, four or eight receivers, enabling independent passenger listening, and Ovation Select will provide command, control, and audio distribution functionality. Control of the Ovation Select XM Radio is provided via any of the installed control panels (Touchscreen, Select 100/200 PCUs or a handheld remote).
