Two major air shows, Sun ’n Fun and AERO Friedrichshafen, have coordinated their dates until 2020 so exhibitors can be present at both shows.
Over the past few years, AERO in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and Sun ’n Fun in Lakeland, Florida, took place only a few days apart. “This was a problem for exhibitors at both shows. It’s important for us to participate in both events,” says Rick Garcia, president of Gulf Coast Avionics Corp. Since the two air shows were separated by only a few days, some companies had to decide between exhibiting at one show or the other. For other companies that included both events on their calendars, it presented an enormous logistical challenge.
