FlightSafety debuts international procedures training

By Janice Wood · October 18, 2009 ·

FlightSafety International has introduced an online International Procedures Recurrent course.

This self-paced course uses a variety of flight scenarios to help prepare for international flights and the associated regulatory requirements. The three flight scenarios include: Teterboro, N.J., to Copenhagen, Denmark; Copenhagen to Almaty, Kazakhstan; and Beijing, China, to Teterboro.

“FlightSafety’s customers will benefit from our comprehensive scenario-based course for International Procedures,” said Ariel Landau, eLearning Operations Manager. “This course draws upon FlightSafety’s 30 years of experience as  provider of international operations training to pilots who fly for civil, military, and government agencies worldwide.”

The course meets all FAA training objectives for MNPS, RVSM, RNP-4, RNP-10, B-RNAV and P-RNAV Special Use Airspace, according to FlightSafety officials.

Customers who enroll in the program will have access to the course for one full year, allowing them to log into the system anytime to refresh and update their knowledge. They will also have access to a library of additional resources, including information on new or future requirements such as ETOPS, CPDLC, ADS and SMS.

Initial and recurrent International Procedures training courses are also available on-site at many FlightSafety Learning Centers or at a customer’s facility upon request, company officials said.

FlightSafety offers a variety of other Internet-based training courses, including Cold Weather Operations, CFIT, pilot and maintenance RVSM, EPGWS/TAWS, Garmin G1000, Safety Management Systems, TCAS, Weather Radar and Universal FMS Fundamentals.
