Jepp chart reader bundle pricing introduced

By Janice Wood · October 19, 2009 ·

SOLIDFX FX10 & Binder 2SOLIDFX, LLC , makers of the only digital reader for Jeppesen terminal charts, has unveiled bundled pricing for JeppView subscribers who purchase the SOLIDFX FX10 chart reader.

JeppView subscribers to the full 48-state CONUS coverage can have instant access to all of those terminal charts on the FX10 for $55 more a year.

The company also introduced more than a dozen enhancements to the FX10 through a free upgrade to its FXVIEW software. New capabilities include a Clearance Pad for easily writing ATIS, routing and other information on the FX10 screen.

Jeppesen data updates are handled seamlessly through the proven Jeppesen Services Update Manager and downloaded directly onto the FX10.

Because it is based on IREX Technology’s Digital Reader 1000S, the FX10 can also be used for reading e-books, newspapers and PDF files. Some FX10 users also convert their Jeppesen Nav Logs or other Trip Kit information to PDF files, and then load those documents onto the FX10 for ready access during each flight, according to company officials.

The FX10 is available for $1,595 directly from SOLIDFX. Units are pre-loaded with the customer’s first cycle of their Jeppesen eChart Reader database subscription, which is purchased separately.
