Amelia’s plane

Joe Shepherd’s Lockheed 12A Electra Junior has been a star among aviation buffs for years, but now the gleaming 73-year-old beauty is gaining fame in the new movie “Amelia,” according to a story in the Fayette Daily News in Fayetteville, Ga.

In her story, Martha Barksdale details Shepherd’s work on the movie, as well as his aviation background and the work involved in restoring the antique plane. Read the full story here.
