Flight ops software offers fuel savings

By Janice Wood · November 1, 2009 ·

FuelerLinx, a fuel management software, has teamed with CTA’s Flight Operations Systems (FOS) software.

According to Kevin Moller, president of FuelerLinx, the addition of the FuelerLInx software module to the CTA-FOS system provides a better way to manage and control fuel prices.

“When a flight department begins the process of planning a trip, they often have the cumbersome task of contacting various fuel suppliers to determine the best cost of fuel for each fueling segment,” Moller explained. “With FuelerLinx software, you can compare the best contract fuel prices available in a few keystrokes. FuelerLinx works with more than 25 fuel vendors, as well as FBO direct locations, to find the lowest fuel price automatically at any IATA/IOCA worldwide. “

Because FuelerLinx is not web-based but resides on the customer’s hard drive, it is secure and keeps all transactions private, company officials said, noting it finds the best fuel price at any location, schedules the trip, notifies the fuel vendor and tracks and reconciles invoices.
