AirGator has introduced the NAVPad 5X (pictured left) and 7X, which utilize the newest high performance, low power consumption Intel ATOM processor at speeds up to 1.3GHz — up to three times faster than the previous generation of NAVPads — with 5-8 hour battery life and lower power consumption. These compact units come in the standard configuration with 1GB RAM and 16 GB solid state storage. A built in WAAS-capable GPS, Bluetooth and 802.11N wireless capability also are standard, while 3G broadband wireless is optional, as is a 32 GB solid state drive.
“The NAVPad 5X and 7X are well suited to small cockpits,” said Amir Tirosh, president of AirGator.
The high resolution (1024 x 600), daylight readable touch screens provide the ultimate platform for NAVAir Approaches 3D, Tirosh said, noting it is the only approaches viewer showing own-ship position on the plan view, vertical profile and airport diagram on FAA NACO instrument approach procedures.

NAVPad X EFBs run Windows compatible programs and work with both FAA and Jeppesen data. Available software includes NAVAirEFB and Approaches3D, as well as JeppView and FliteDeck, while the units can be custom configured with additional cockpit productivity software, including electronic logs, manuals, weight & balance and performance calculators, dispatch communications applications, email and more.
A base configuration for the NAVPad 5X with Approaches 3D starts at $850. The NAVPad 7X starts at $945. Full NAVAirEFB bundles with XMWX Receivers start at $1,950.
