Aviation law firm grows

David Shannon has joined the Fort Lauderdale, Florida, law firm of Stewart H. Lapayowker, P.A., which focuses on private and corporate aviation transactions worldwide.

Shannon will work alongside attorney Stewart Lapayowker and will counsel clients on tax and other issues relating to the acquisition, leasing, registration and financing of aircraft, including fractional interests, and on issues relating to regulatory compliance.

Shannon, who has published articles and lectured around the country on various topics related to business aviation, received his JD from the University of Miami and his LLM in tax from Georgetown University. Prior to joining the law firm of Stewart H. Lapayowker, P.A., Shannon was with a law firm in Washington, D.C., where he also handled corporate aviation transactions.
