Advance purchase for OSH camping online

By Janice Wood · November 12, 2009 ·

Plan on camping at AirVenture in Oshkosh this summer? You can now pre-purchase camping online for AirVenture 2010, slated for July 26-Aug. 1 at Wittman RegionalAirport in Oshkosh.

Advance camping purchase for the drive-in Camp Scholler area provides the convenience of express registration at the campground entrance through specially designated gates. First introduced for admissions at EAA AirVenture 2008, the advance purchase system allows campers to pre-purchase AirVenture admission online and speed through the admissions process, according to EAA officials. Both daily and weekly admissions are available. It also gives discounts to those who pre-purchase their AirVenture tickets before June 15, 2010, including $2 on daily admissions and $5 on weekly admissions for advance online purchasers.

Advance-purchase camping is available for Camp Scholler (drive-in area) only, for arrival dates between Thursday, July 22, through Monday, July 26.

To access the advance ticketing area, go to Airventure.org and connect to the “Buy Now!” area. Full instructions and answers to frequently asked questions are available at that site. Advance AirVenture tickets are scanned and redeemed for the appropriate wristband at AirVenture gates.
