Largest private hangar in Idaho opens

By Janice Wood · December 2, 2009 ·

Aero Mark, an FBO located Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA) in Idaho, has opened its new FBO and hangar building, dubbed Aero Mark XL. The new building, the largest privately owned aircraft hangar in Idaho according to FBO officials, features 30,000 square feet of hangar and 12,000 square feet of office space and amenities. The hangar can store aircraft up to an MD-80 in size, and has held as many as a dozen corporate and commercial jets at one time.

“Aero Mark XL is the next logical step in the steady growth of our business,” says Thomas Hoff, vice president.

The new building is the eighth hangar Aero Mark has constructed at IDA and accompanies a ramp expansion that more than doubles fee-free aircraft parking. Started in 1984, Aero Mark is celebrating its 25th year as an FBO.
