Cobham DACS receives TSO

By Janice Wood · December 8, 2009 ·

Cobham’s Digital Audio Control System (DACS) has received Technical Standards Order (TSO) certification from the FAA, a milestone that approves the manufacture of DACS for installation on certified aircraft, according to company officials. This is in addition to achieving European Technical Standards Order (ETSO) in September of this year.

With installations completed and certified by both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and completion centers, DACS has been flying worldwide for two years in nearly 100 installations across a number of airframe types.
