RDD named Thermawing installation center

By Janice Wood · December 9, 2009 ·

RDD Enterprises, LLC is now an authorized installation center for Kelly Aerospace Thermawing de-ice systems for certified aircraft.

“For many years RDD has been installing the experimental version of the Thermawing de-ice system, known as Therm-X. RDD’s experience installing the Therm-X system on experimental aircraft, combined with their prior experience installing the certified system on Columbia aircraft with outstanding customer service, makes RDD one of the premier installation centers for our product line,” said Dr. Erik Pederson of Kelly Aerospace.

In order to meet pent-up demand for Thermawing in the Cessna 300/350/400 market, RDD expanded its maintenance facility by moving into a hangar adjacent to the headquarters at Roberts Field in Redmond, Oregon, according to David McRae, business manager. Collectively, the RDD team (McRae, Justin Reimer, Sam Meier, and Matt Lawler) has 25 years experience servicing and maintaining the Cessna (formerly Columbia) aircraft product line.

In addition to the Thermawing installation services, RDD performs annual inspections, preventive maintenance and various other services for the Columbia/Cessna aircraft.
