Elliott Aviation has received Supplemental Type Certification (STC) from the FAA for the installation of dual Universal Avionics’ UNS-1Espw Flight Management System in Citation 650 III/VI/VII series aircraft.
The installation, conducted at Elliott Aviation’s headquarters facility at Quad City International Airport (MLI), includes the latest GPS Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) with LP/LPV (lateral precision with vertical guidance) for oceanic, en-route, departure and arrival procedures, non-precision approaches, LNAV/VNAV approaches and LPV approaches. WAAS approaches can be flown down to minimums of 200 feet and half-mile for FAA published LPV approaches, company officials said.
