Group 3 Aviation opens new student housing

By Janice Wood · January 11, 2010 ·

Group 3 Aviation Inc., an FAA- and VA-approved Part 141 flight training facility and Part 135 charter service operating from the Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Southern California, recently opened its new pilot housing. The residential accommodations streamline and simplify lodging for out-of-state and overseas full-time students, according to company officials.

The company recently renovated the three-bedroom, two-bath house located in the Van Nuys Lake Balboa community just .25 miles from the school. Amenities include central air conditioning and heating, flat-screen high-definition cable television, WiFi Internet access, a washer and dryer, free street parking, tableware and flatware, a covered patio and garden.

“We’re always looking for ways to enhance our customer’s experience and take our services to a new level,” explains Claudia Herrera, vice president. “While our students have rated their experience with Group 3 Aviation consistently high, many found relocation taxing. So we’re excited to now offer one-stop convenience for new full-time students.”

Group 3 Aviation provides flight training in Schweizer 300CBi’s, Robinson R22s and R44s plus Cessna 152s and 172s.
