Embry-Riddle student awarded Aircraft Trading Foundation scholarship

Kavita Patel, a graduate student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, has been awarded the International George Batchelor Scholarship for $10,000 by the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation. The scholarship benefits students who are pursuing a career in the commercial aviation trading industry.

PatelPatel, who also has a B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle, is enrolled in the Master’s in Aeronautics degree program at the university’s Daytona Beach, Fla., campus. She developed an interest in the business side of airlines and corporate aviation during internships at AirTran Airways and Proctor and Gamble’s corporate aviation department.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in its colleges of Arts and Sciences, Aviation, Business, and Engineering. For more information: EmbryRiddle.edu.
