A DVD of the 2009 Simsbury Airport (4B9) Fly-In is now available.

The 20-minute video, which is professionally produced, features narration by Mike Alan, the WTIC-AM air traffic reporter, and provides an overview of the event at the Connecticut airport. Special attention is focused on the parachuting demonstration, including video of the jumps taken from a helmet camera. The Yankee Clippers formation flight demonstration team is also featured, along with video taken from one of the airplanes during the event.

During the past 24 years, the Simsbury Airport Fly-In and car show has grown to be the largest event of its kind in New England, featuring hundreds of airplanes and autos on display. Many thousands of spectators have attended, according to airport officials, who note the 2009 Fly-In was one of the best ever, with beautiful weather and many special features, including dealer displays and seminars for aviation enthusiasts.

The cost of the DVD is $10 each, including shipping and handling. Send your order to Simsbury Flying Club, PO Box 405, Riverton, Conn., 06065. Enclose a check to the order of Simsbury Flying Club, and specify the number of DVDs desired.
