Orion Jet Center joins Avfuel network

By Janice Wood · February 3, 2010 ·

OrionAvfuel Corp. continues to expand its network of FBO dealers, with its most recent alliance with Orion Jet Center at Opa Locka Airport (OPF) in Florida.

Orion Jet Center will supply Avfuel aviation fuel and related services to and from South Florida. The FBO has 245,000 square feet of concrete ramp, large hangars, on-site US Customs, and plane-side rental car delivery.

Orion Jet Center is currently restoring a World War II military hangar, and will soon break ground on a new terminal and hangar facility, both scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010. The current terminal provides flat screen televisions, flight planning software, weather, a small pilot snooze room, snacks, beverages and more. Transportation for crews to nearby hotels is provided, and golf packages are given to visiting crews. A separate VIP terminal and hangar enables private and secure handling for those requiring special arrivals and departures. For the 2010 Super Bowl in Miami, Orion Jet Center will host a hospitality tent and offer transportation to and from the stadium.
