Become an airborne radar expert

By Janice Wood · February 10, 2010 ·

Sporty’s now offers an online Airborne Radar Training Course suitable for all levels of pilots.

radarcourse1“Airborne radar is one of the least understood pieces of avionics in the cockpit, and the consequences of this misunderstanding can be severe,” said Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “This course goes a long way toward educating pilots on its use, features and potential traps.”

Narrated learning modules feature animated graphics to explain the principles of thunderstorm formation, radar theory and radar operation. The course features hands-on interactivity that enables the user to move knobs, click buttons and see the results.

The Airborne Radar Training Course includes review quizzes and a 50-question final exam. With more than three hours of course content, the Airborne Radar Course also comes with a hard-copy study guide for review, which will be shipped to the user.

Price: $99. For more information: Sportys.com/radar
