Six CFIs recently were accreditated as NAFI Master Flight Instructors.
The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) Master Instructor designation is a national accreditation, recognized by the FAA, which is earned through a rigorous process of continuing professional activity and peer review. Similar to a flight instructor’s certificate, it must be renewed biennially. It is also rigorous enough to qualify as a recognized renewal course for a flight instructor certificate, NAFI officials note.
Aviation educators who recently earned the “Master” title are: Dan Dyer, Redwood City, Calif.; David Freiwald, Oviedo, Fla.; Neil Krey, Hurst, Texas; Dwayne Morrison, New Bern, N.C.; and Tammy Schwarz, St. Cloud, Minn. Renewing his accreditation was David Hensley, Deland, Fla.
