AirVenture offers military discount

By Janice Wood · February 14, 2010 ·

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is offering a discounted admission price to those who have served in the military. Active military members, reservists and veterans will receive up to a 20% discount on daily admission to the show, which is slated for July 26-July 1 at Wittman Regional Airport in Wisconsin.

Daily admission purchased online through June 15 is $28, while daily admission purchased after that date or at the gate is $30. Proof of military status or membership in a recognized veterans organization is required when redeeming advance purchase tickets at the AirVenture entrance gates.

“We’re pleased to offer these admission discounts to those who have served in the military,” said Rick Larsen, EAA’s vice president of marketing and communications. “It is especially fitting since 2010 will be the huge ‘Salute to Veterans’ program all week at Oshkosh. AirVenture attendees understand and appreciate the sacrifices those in the military undertake to protect our freedoms, and we are honoring that this year.”

EAA AirVenture’s “Salute to Veterans” is a national partnership led by EAA, the Warbirds of America, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Activities will take place throughout the grounds during the week, including the concluding concert by actor Gary Sinise’s “Lt. Dan Band” on Friday evening, July 30.
