General aviation’s relief efforts in Haiti were the subject of a column written by NBAA President Ed Bolen for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, in which he notes that news images of the aftermath of the earthquake’s destruction rarely show how medical help, food and other supplies are delivered.
He says:
“The logistics may be out of sight, but certainly not out of mind for the millions of Americans who are part of the nation’s general aviation network, including thousands in North Texas. Texas companies that use general aviation aircraft are among the many whose employees are answering the call: donating their planes, their time and their skills to save lives and bring help to the people of Haiti.”
