Condominium hangars now available at RBD

By Janice Wood · February 21, 2010 ·

Ambassador Jet Center, an FBO at Dallas Executive Airport (RBD), just completed the first of three hangars for lease or sale. Two of the hangars are “condominium-styled” with a 61-foot wide x 26-foot high hydraulic, hydro-swing (automatic) door and an office/condo area with access directly from the hangar.

The first hangar, which includes a finished kitchen, also has a mezzanine for either a bedroom or an office area, FBO officials said. Stated George Moussa, president of Ambassador Jet Center, “We purposely did not finish out the second unit as we wanted to allow a customer to tailor it to their own specifications.”

The third hangar, measuring 96 x 140 feet, is called an Executive Hangar and has a 90-foot wide x 26-foot high door clearance. The 13,440-square foot-hangar includes 4,000 square feet of office space. The two-story office space area can accommodate multiple full-size offices, large multi-use spaces, up to three bathrooms and has a lobby overlooking the development, FBO officials said.

The Moussa family took over the reigns of the FBO in 2004 and have invested more than $8 million in improvements to the facility. Ambassador, which offers complimentary overnight hangars with a fuel purchase, does not charge ramp fees and can provide FAR part 135 certified maintenance and airframe and avionics repair on-site.
