Sierra Industries cuts prices on Glareshield upgrades

By Janice Wood · February 22, 2010 ·

Citing improved manufacturing efficiency, Sierra Industries has reduced 2010 pricing for its integrated Glareshield/annunciator panel modification for Cessna Citation business jets. Formerly $10,188, the over-the-counter glareshield modification is priced at $7,290 for 2010. Full installation is included at a price of $8,900.

The Glareshield/annunciator panel upgrade relocates annunciators from the instrument panel to a centrally-located glareshield pod, improving visibility and freeing up panel space for avionics upgrades such as multifunction displays, digital engine instruments, or communication, navigation or GPS equipment, according to company officials.

Sierra’s process utilizes the original glareshield from the customer’s aircraft, ensuring true OEM-quality fit and finish. For OTC orders, customers must provide the original glareshield to Sierra. Typical completion time is from two to three weeks. Sierra’s glareshield upgrade includes durable black “Ultratech” covering, or customized leather or fabric finishes may be ordered for an additional charge.
